Typography Family

The Built Environs brand uses three typeface variants from the Suisse font family:

Suisse International Condensed Bold
Suisse International Book
and Suisse International Mono Regular.

These fonts have been installed on your devices, please use them whenever possible.
If you are unable to use these fonts, use Arial as the fallback typeface.

Heading – Suisse International condensed bold

Serving as the primary typeface for all main headings. Both the leading and the tracking should remain tight. It should always be used in either sentence case or title case.

Body –  Suisse international regular

Used for all body copy. The leading and tracking should remain standard. It should always be used in sentence case.

Detail  – Suisse international mono regular 

Only to be used for detail copy, indexes, buttons, and captions. The leading and tracking should remain standard. It should always be used in all caps.

Typography Styles

Below is a demonstration of the various type styles working in tandem. Use the below as an example on how the type styles should be scaled against one another.

 

Primary section labels appear in Suisse International Mono and can be placed alongside a Built Environs Green square.


Main headings appear in Suisse International Condensed Bold. When appropriate, Built Environs Green can be used to split main headings in two.


Primary section labels appear in Suisse International Mono and can be placed alongside a charcoal square. A thin charcoal rule can be used above section labels to create hierarchy,


Body copy appears in Suisse International Book.


Suisse International Condensed Bold in a noticeably smaller type size can be used for sub-headings.
